Forte Yachts

Aluminium yachts drawn in Italy, terraces that open onto the sea: a new idea of the 40 to 60 foot yacht.

A man in a hard hat, kneeling on a large aluminium panel resting on steel trestles, marking a line on it; behind him, the ribbed workshop wall, its conduits and a coiled hose.
A welder in a leather jacket, welding mask down, torch-welding an aluminium assembly on the bench: the arc has struck, a blue halo and sparks at the weld.

The yard

Forte grew out of West Navaltech, an Italian builder specialising in aluminium structures and support vessels for large megayacht yards. The yachts are designed and built in La Spezia. Aluminium remains the reference material: light hulls, lasting structure.

A gloved hand guides an angle grinder across an aluminium sheet, the workshop blurred behind.
A Forte yacht's cockpit under the hardtop: helm and pilot seats to port, pale wood table and L-shaped seat to starboard, teak decking, sea and coastal relief beyond.

The range

The Forte 47 comes in two versions. Two larger models have been announced by the yard.
